Meet Natalie
Doula, Lactation Counselor, Yoga Instructor, Mother
Natalie supports new and expecting moms find deeper connection with their bodies, prepare for their births, and recover with care and intention.
My StoryNatalie began her career as a birthworker in 2020 when she moved to Los Angeles. There, she worked with renowned prenatal-focused chiropractor Dr. Elliot Berlin, bringing voice to women’s birthing experiences through the Informed Pregnancy Podcast and supporting his clinic in West L.A. Natalie expanded her support through teaching pre/post-natal yoga to some of Dr. Berlin’s most high-profile clients, including Hillary Duff. It was through teaching yoga that she recognized her passion for supporting women during this incredible and vulnerable transition.
Seeking to provide truly integrative care to pregnant and postpartum individuals, Natalie pursued a master’s in Public Health from UCLA, specializing in reproductive and maternal health. During that time, Natalie focused her research on expanding perinatal health education, understanding the use of doulas and community support to improve outcomes, and advocating for birth equity and healthcare access. In 2024, Natalie became a full-spectrum Doula, and was then able to offer personal support to clients with a deep understanding of our healthcare system.
I believe that access to tools, education, and compassionate support can transform one’s pregnancy, birth, and parenting experience.
Since then, Natalie has worked with over 20 families providing prenatal, birth, and postpartum support in the Chicago area. She has worked with clients from a variety of racial and socio-economic backgrounds, primarily on the South Side of the city, and is passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ families as well. In 2025, Natalie expanded her practice to include Lactation Counseling, becoming a one-stop-shop for expecting parents.
On January 1st of 2026, Natalie gave birth to her son and became a mother herself. Through the experience, she gained deeper perspective for what women go through on this radically transformative journey of motherhood.
Reviews
“As a pregnancy-focused chiropractor, labor support doula, and host of the Informed Pregnancy Podcast, I have had the pleasure of working with many outstanding birth professionals. Among them, Natalie Pulvino stands out. During her time at my Los Angeles perinatal wellness center, Natalie demonstrated a refreshing combination of academic knowledge and practical wisdom. Her kindness, compassion, and extensive expertise were consistently evident, earning her the highest praise from both our employees and clients. I have referred many clients to her for prenatal yoga, and each one has thanked me profusely for the recommendation. Natalie’s ability to connect with and support expectant mothers is truly remarkable. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with her is very fortunate. She is an invaluable asset to the birth community.”
